Install Foresite

Foresite is one line of code. Add it to the <head> of every page on your site:

<script defer src="https://t.foresite.dev/s/YOUR_SITE_ID.js"></script>

Copy your exact line from the dashboard: open your site, then Settings → Install. It's the same line for every page.

The script is under 1 KB and open source, so you or your clients can check exactly what it does.

Check it's working

Open your published site in a normal browser window. The Installation check in Settings → Install turns green as soon as the first pageview arrives, usually within seconds. If it doesn't:

  • Is the line in the <head> of the published site? Many site builders only add custom code after you publish.
  • Are you on localhost? Foresite ignores local development so test traffic doesn't pollute your stats.
  • Does your site's address match? Foresite only accepts pageviews from the address you entered (and its subdomains, unless you turned that off).
  • Is an ad blocker on? Try another browser, or set up a custom domain.
